EVS seats are designed with ambulance personnel in mind. They are designed to offer great levels of comfort for long shifts whilst being tough and hard wearing to withstand the rigours of modern day ambulance use.

Testing and approvals

Every seat carries approval for use in M1 vehicles and our integrated child seats hold ECE R44 Type Approval and are currently being approved to ECE R129 Type Approval. The child seat versions have the child restraint built into the attendant seat and approved as a child restraint system in its own right, not an accessory strapped onto one.

Seamless construction, and why it matters

An ambulance is a rolling treatment area. The same seat carries one person after another, often with no chance of more than a wipe-down between jobs.

Conventional upholstery is stitched, and every seam is a line fluids can penetrate and cleaning cannot reliably reach. A seamless seat is formed as one continuous surface, so there is nothing left where your cleaning cannot get to it – and the vinyl is formulated to take repeated disinfection without degrading.

Who we are

EVS Europe Ltd is the UK and European distributor for EVS Ltd in the USA. We have been supplying EVS specialist ambulance seating here in the UK and Europe since 1995.

We work with ambulance builders across the UK and Europe, and directly with NHS fleet teams on specification. Comfort matters to us as much as compliance does – the crew in that seat is in it for twelve hours.
